Welcome to the ICM Mentorship Programme, a comprehensive and holistic approach to developing cricketers of the future. Designed with meticulous attention to detail, our programme focuses on six key elements: Technical, Emotional, Tactical, Mental, Physical, and Lifestyle. Under the guidance of ECB certified coaches and former International cricketers, our dedicated mentors work closely with each player, providing personalised support and guidance to unlock their full potential.
Pillars of Success
The ICM Mentorship Programme's "Six Pillars of Success"—Technical, Tactical, Mental, Physical, Lifestyle, and Emotional—form a holistic framework that guides the comprehensive development of each player. By addressing every dimension of a young athlete's growth, the programme ensures players build not only technical and tactical skills but also the physical fitness, mental resilience, and emotional intelligence required to excel under pressure. Coaches tailor individual strategies within each pillar, adapting to the player’s unique strengths and areas for growth. This balanced and structured approach provides a foundation for consistent improvement, equipping players with the tools, mindset, and support necessary to thrive both on and off the pitch.
1 – Technical Skills Development
- Objectives: Refining key cricket skills, including batting, bowling, and fielding techniques by working in a focused and more personalised environment..
- Activities: Weekly one-on-one coaching with video analysis, tailor-made drills, and use of advanced coaching equipment.
2 – Tactical Awareness
- Objectives: Enhancing understanding of game strategy, match awareness, and situational adaptability.
- Activities: Tactical workshops, match simulations, field-setting exercises, and strategic planning sessions.
3 – Mental Resilience and Mindset
- Objectives: Building mental resilience and focus to handle pressure situations, overcoming failure and much more.
- Activities: Sessions with sports psychologists, guided visualisation, relaxation techniques, and confidence-building exercises.
4 – Physical Conditioning
- Objectives: Improving fitness, strength, agility, and endurance to meet the demands of high-performance cricket. We have certified Strength and Conditioning coach who work with ICM Mentorship Programme players.
- Activities: Tailored fitness plans, 2k run, strength and conditioning sessions, and Yo-Yo test monitoring.
5. Lifestyle
- Objectives: Promote a balanced lifestyle focusing on nutrition, recovery, and time management.
- Activities: Nutritional guidance from Certified Nutrition and meal planning, recovery sessions, and workshops on effective time management.
6 – Emotional
- Objectives: Foster emotional control, team collaboration, and self-motivation.
- Activities: Workshops on emotional intelligence, self-reflection exercises, and team-building activities.
Video Analysis Technology
In today’s data-driven world, performance analysis plays a crucial role in athlete development. At ICM, we leverage Ludimos technology to provide in-depth analysis for our Mentorship Programme players. Using video footage, Ludimos enables us to evaluate each player’s performance, breaking down their skills and identifying key areas for improvement. This advanced analysis offers players a clear, data-backed understanding of their game, helping them refine techniques and reach their potential with precision.
