ICM runs two Nottingham academies annually — one during the summer months and another throughout the winter season. The programme has been designed around structured coaching and player development, with the aim of helping young cricketers progress at their own level.
The Nottingham coaching programme has been designed by international test players Andrew Caddick, Monty Panesar and Kabir Ali, and is overseen by former England, Nottingham and Surrey County cricket player Usman Afzaal.
More Than Training
Players work through age- and ability-appropriate coaching, with options to use a soft ball or hard ball depending on their preference and stage of development.

One Academy. Different Pathways.
Not every player is at the same stage. ICM groups players according to age, ability and whether they prefer to use a soft ball or hard ball during sessions. That allows the coaching experience to stay appropriate and challenging for each group.
Overseen By Usman Afzaal
The Nottingham Academy is overseen by former England international Usman Afzaal, alongside ICM's wider coaching team and the programme's international cricket expertise.
